6.5 ~ Synergy; Spotify Playlists // 02-04-2020

I wanted to take a look at using a design process over multiple pieces of work that were related not the same exact thing. I decided to have a go at creating cover art for a couple of my Spotify playlists.

I began with my jazz playlist. As you can see, Spotify’s stock playlist art tiles the album covers of the first four tracks of the playlist.

First off, I tried to upload a very large image I had saved to my laptop to see if I was working under any constraints. Sometimes when uploading profile pictures to websites they have to be at a maximum of res of 300x300 for example. ~ After the failed upload of my large file, I knew the limitations I was working under.

I made a canvas that was 1000x1000 pixels, at a resolution of 300dpi.
